DESIGN & PREPARATION
Preparing the bezel ring for the custom engraving process requires multiples steps starting with sandblasting using a special micro-fine particle.
After a lengthy inspection to confirm the surface of the bezel ring. Then the ring goes in for Cerakote coating, and high temperature baking. Based on the color selected and thickness of application, the baking time will vary. After baking, the "bezel canvass" is given a final inspection before being passed to art department.
ART ENGRAVING
The engraving process is complex in that each design requires finely-tuned settings for clarity and design continuity.
After multiple test engravings, and adjustments, the final artwork gets engraved on special proofing cards to confirm "visibility recognition" at normal viewing distances - without needing special magnifiers.
When the art gets engraved, it's a special "pucker factor" because we have one bezel to do this with.
