We are proud to present this one-of-a-kind timepiece recognizing the “End of an Era” for U.S. Marine Scout Snipers. Authorized by the USMC Scout Sniper Association and designed with input from its members, this watch will be produced in a serialized, limited edition of 317, in honor of the Scout Sniper Military Occupational Specialty, MOS 0317.
This timepiece is more than a watch; it’s a testament to 80 years of faithful service by those who carry the title ‘Marine Scout Sniper’. It is also a celebration of the 25th anniversary of the USMC Scout Sniper Association.
The artwork on the back was conceived by SSA Member Chris Bacon, and it carries a great deal of relevant symbology. Your watch will include a card containing an explanation of the symbols contained therein, along with the Greek fable of the “The Arrow and the Eagle”.
Your purchase supports the mission of the USMC Scout Sniper Association. While the Corps may see fit to disband Scout Snipers for now, the mission of the USMC Scout Sniper Association has never been more relevant.
THE STORY OF THE THE ARROW AND THE EAGLE:
The earliest mention of the fable is a brief reference in The Myrmidons, a lost tragedy of Aeschylus written in the 5th century BCE. So the eagle, pierced by the bow-sped shaft, looked at the feathered device and said, “Thus, not by others, but by means of our own plumage are we slain”.
This special timepiece is built around our 42mm Classic watch case, available with a bezel-ring of your choice - black, red, blue, green. The watch case is meticulously crafted from 316L surgical-grade stainless steel, ensuring enduring durability and resilience. The scratch-resistant sapphire crystal glass guarantees the utmost clarity, while its impressive water resistance rating allows for depths up to 300 meters or 1,000 feet.
SPECS:
Classic watch model. 42mm width (46mm with crown), 50mm lug to lug, 14mm thick, 22mm wide strap. Choice of bezel-ring color (Black, Blue, Red, Green).
The watch case is constructed in 316L surgical-grade stainless steel with scratch resistant sapphire crystal glass, and is water depth rated to 300 meters / 1,000 feet.
We offer an upgrade to a DLC-black watch case.
We offer an upgrade to a solid metal bracelet with screws, and solid end-pieces; bracelet upgrade is $310.
MOVEMENT:
The movement is the engine that powers your watch. The watch comes standard with a Swiss Quartz (battery) movement, which runs approx. 2-3 years, then requires a simple battery swap.
We offer an upgrade to the Swiss ETA 2824-2 Automatic movement for $415. The automatic movement is the same type you’d find in Rolex, Omega, Breitling and has a power reserve of approx. 40 hours. If you have questions about the movements, please send us a quick email (contact@swisspl.com)
PRODUCTION TIME:
These watches are handcrafted and made-to-order; the customized parts are produced in-house, tailored to you. Average production time is between 3-5 weeks, but we offer rush service if required.

The watch is secured inside a heat-sealed enclosure bag, so your hands are the first to touch your new watch.
Your watch will be sent with insured service, with tracking, which requires a signature for delivery.
