We are proud to present this one-of-a-kind timepiece recognizing the “End of an Era” for U.S. Marine Scout Snipers. Authorized by the USMC Scout Sniper Association and designed with input from its members, this watch will be produced in a serialized, limited edition of only 317, in honor of the Scout Sniper Military Occupational Specialty, MOS 0317.
This timepiece is more than a watch; it’s a testament to 80 years of faithful service by those who carry the title ‘Marine Scout Sniper’. It is also a celebration of the 25th anniversary of the USMC Scout Sniper Association.
The artwork on the back was conceived by SSA Member Chris Bacon, and it carries a great deal of relevant symbology. Your watch will include a card containing an explanation of the symbols contained therein, along with the Greek fable of the “The Arrow and the Eagle”.
Your purchase supports the mission of the USMC Scout Sniper Association. While the Corps may see fit to disband Scout Snipers for now, the mission of the USMC Scout Sniper Association has never been more relevant.
THE STORY OF THE THE ARROW AND THE EAGLE:
The earliest mention of the fable is a brief reference in The Myrmidons, a lost tragedy of Aeschylus written in the 5th century BCE. So the eagle, pierced by the bow-sped shaft, looked at the feathered device and said, “Thus, not by others, but by means of our own plumage are we slain”.
This special timepiece is built around our 44mm Tactical watch case, available in 4 variations: stainless, pvd-black, stainless/black and black/stainess. The watch case is meticulously crafted from 316L surgical-grade stainless steel, ensuring enduring durability and resilience. The scratch-resistant sapphire crystal glass guarantees the utmost clarity, while its impressive water resistance rating allows for depths up to 300 meters or 1,000 feet.
SPECS:
Classic watch model. 44mm width (49mm with crown), 54mm lug to lug, 16.50mm thick, 23mm wide strap.
The watch case is constructed in 316L surgical-grade stainless steel with scratch resistant sapphire crystal glass, and is water depth rated to 300 meters / 1,000 feet.
We offer an upgrade to a pvd-black watch case ($225) and we also offer mixed versions (stainless with black, and black with stainless) ($340).
MOVEMENT:
The movement is the engine that powers your watch. The watch comes standard with a Swiss Quartz (battery) movement, which runs approx. 2-3 years, then requires a simple battery swap.
We offer an upgrade to the Swiss ETA 2824-2 Automatic movement for $415. The automatic movement is the same type you’d find in Rolex, Omega, Breitling and has a power reserve of approx. 40 hours. If you have questions about the movements, please send us a quick email (contact@swisspl.com)
PRODUCTION TIME:
These watches are handcrafted and made-to-order; the customized parts are produced in-house, tailored to you. Average production time is between 3-5 weeks, but we offer rush service if required.
Your SwissPL watch is assembled and tested when ordered, and then gets packaged for shipping with the utmost of care in each detail.
The watch is secured inside a heat-sealed enclosure bag, so your hands are the first to touch your new watch.
Your watch will be sent with insured service, with tracking, which requires a signature for delivery.

I found out about this watch company off the Scout Sniper Association web site and that only 317 watches would be made honoring the Marine Scout Sniper MOS, which is being eliminated. Contacting SwissPL I found out that the watch had two versions and that they both could be upgraded from a Swiss quartz movement to an Swiss automatic mechanical movement. These watches are also engraved with one’s personal service information. As there are only a combined total of 317 watches to be made, I ordered one tactical and one classical model. One covers when I graduated from Sniper School and received the MOS and the other covers when I was a scout sniper instructor. The bezel ring was given a custom updated to match the scout sniper theme. Both watches are extremely well made and have being keeping accurate time since I’ve received them.
Because these are so well made, I have now ordered another personal watch to cover all my service throughout my time in the Marines.
These Scout Sniper End Of Era watches are well made and are a true collectors watch. With only 317 being made, I’m glad I got two; cause when they’re sold out that’s it, no more.
