THE STORY OF THE ARROW AND THE EAGLE:
Theearliest mention of the fable is a brief reference in The Myrmidons, alost tragedy of Aeschylus written in the 5th century BCE. So the eagle, pierced by the bow-sped shaft, looked at the feathered device and said,“Thus, not by others, but by means of our own plumage are we slain”.

This timepiece is more than a watch; it’s a testament to 80 years of faithful service by those who carry the title ‘Marine Scout Sniper’. It is also a celebration of the 25th anniversary of the USMC Scout Sniper Association.
The artwork on the back was conceived by SSA Member Chris Bacon, and it carries a great deal of relevant symbology. Your watch will include a card containing an explanation of the symbols contained therein, along with the Greek fable of the “The Arrow and the Eagle”.
Your purchase supports the mission of the USMC Scout Sniper Association. While the Corps may see fit to disband Scout Snipers for now, the mission of the USMC Scout Sniper Association has never been more relevant.

Simply Flawless.
As leader of a small veteran non-profit membership organization, I’m always on the hunt for unique ways to fundraise and add value for our members. When Alldaron from SwissPL reached out, I was a little skeptical at first. Based on a glowing recommendation from another well-respected veteran non-profit, I took the time to hear what Alldaron had to offer. Boy, am I glad I did!

Everything about this experience has been first class. His willingness to try new ideas; to add additional items to the standard package; the way he cares for every single customer and take into account the many individual requests; his timely processing of orders.

The entire experience, from start to finish, has been superb. Alldaron genuinely believes in the causes he supports through his partnerships offering 25% of the proceeds going back to the foundation. We are blessed to have met Alldaron, and we hope to work on more projects with him in the future!

By the way, I purchased serial #0001 of our limited edition. It completely exceeded my expectations! Love this watch!

I am speechless.
There have been many times when I've heard folks say that they are speechless, but I never quite understood until now!! I am speechless. Or perhaps I am so impressed with the way you conduct business until formulating the word in the right sequence makes it hard for me to express my gratitude.

My age allows me to reflect on 'the way things used to be.' Too often I'm in despair because the business and customer relationship today has seemingly gone down the toilet. Then along come you. This is the way I believe transactions were handled in my youth. Each partner in the process did their best to honor an unwritten code of how things would progress. The buyer understood his responsibility, and so too did the seller. Of course things didn't always go as planned or as I'm portraying, but it was the ideal. Many honorable folks would rather suffer a minor loss, as you may have by adding extras, than to lower their standards for doing business. All the extras have been received with mixed emotions, but with sincere gratitude.

Your generosity is equivalent to how I see a 'baker's dozen'. Throw in the extra. Do as much, if not more than what's expected.

I love everything about my package. Thank you so much for being upright.
God bless you and you and all that's dear to you.

44mm tactical

The Tactical watch is 44mm case (49mm with the crown). The case thickness is 16.50mm. From lug to lug is 54mm. And the strap width is 23mm. It is heavy and beefy, and is constructed of 316L surgical grade stainless steel. It uses scratch resistant sapphire crystal glass, and a screw-down crown & caseback to offer a water depth rating of 300 meters (1,000 feet).

The case comes in 4 variations: stainless / pvd-black / stainless with black / black with stainless. The watch comes mounted on a black leather strap with choice of stitching color.

We offer the option to engrave on the edge of the case with a selection of quotes: Death from Afar, One Shot, One Kill, or enter your own text.

Tactical Movement

The watch is powered by Swiss Ronda 515HC Quartz (battery powered) movement. The battery should last about 2-3 years and then simply send it in for a quick battery swap, and perhaps an overhaul service to remove the years of scratches and marks your timepiece received along the journey.

We now also offer the Swiss Ronda 715 LI HC Quartz movement with 10-Yr Battery for $125.

Automatic Upgrade:
You can upgrade your timepiece to the Swiss ETA 2824-2 Automatic mechanical (self winding) movement, with 25 jewels for $415. This is the same style of movement as found in Rolex, Omega, Breitling. The automatic movement offers a few additional hand styles, including the Mercedes / Sword / Modern / Ploprof hands (we will send you visuals of each style when we're creating your mock-up).

An Automatic is another term for “self-winding”, meaning the watch winds itself using a rotor weight inside the timepiece which oscillates to apply tension on the mainspring of the movement through the random motion of the watch owner’s arm. This movement does not require a battery, but does require manual winding every few days using the crown to fully “charge the mainspring” and increase the timepiece’s accuracy because it’s running at full power. You should send your watch in for routine service every few years, to check and replace gaskets - just like your precision firearms, which you routinely clean and oil, a mechanical timepiece requires this care as well.

Edge Text ENGRAVING

Personalize the case edge of your Tactical watch with a choice of sayings, or add your own text:
• One Shot, One Kill!
• Death From Afar!
• Your Custom Text

42mm Classic

The Classic watch is a 42mm case (46mm with the crown). The case thickness is 14mm. From lug to lug is 50mm. And the strap width is 22mm. The watch is water depth rated is 300 meters (1,000 feet). The case is 316L surgical grade stainless steel. The glass is sapphire crystal. The bezel is a uni-directional bezel. The crown and caseback are screwed down, ensuring the depth rating.

The case comes in 2 variations: stainless / pvd-black. The watch is mounted on a black leather strap with white stitching and Pre-V buckle. We offer a solid metal bracelet as optional upgrade for $310.

The video presents the unveiling and comprehensive review of 'End of an Era' timepiece, made as a collaborative effort between the USMC Scout Sniper Association and SwissPL Watch Company.

This is a limited edition watch with only 317 available to symbolize the Scout Sniper MOS code 0317. It is crafted to pay homage to the Marine Corps Scout Snipers' heritage.

And it serves as a fundraising initiative for the USMC Scout Sniper Association, marking significant milestones such as the Association's 25th anniversary, 80 years of the Scout Sniper program, and the recent decision to phase out Scout Snipers from active Marine Corps infantry roles.

Featuring unique artwork by SSA Member Chris Bacon, the watch's design incorporates meaningful symbols like feathers and stars, echoing the values and storied past of Scout Snipers, including a nod to the legendary "White Feather," Carlos Hathcock.

The watch offers extensive customization options, including case sizes, band choices, personalized engravings, custom bezels, and comes with a special edition coin and flask, with serial numbers that are matched to your watch.

The unboxing segment highlights the exceptional craftsmanship, the significance of the custom elements, and the overall presentation, emphasizing the watch's packaging and showcases the coin and flask.

This partnership between the USMC Scout Sniper Association and SwissPL Watch Comapny not only delivers a distinctive and significant product for those connected to the Scout Sniper community but also supports the Association through the sales proceeds.

Overview

The standard Quartz movement is powered by the battery, and will run for approximately 2-3 years (+/-). If your watch stops running, please contact us to get the battery swapped. (We have seen outside shops often damage the movement when extracting the battery). Email us and we'll get it taken care of quickly for you. We also offer upgrade option for movement with 10-Yr battery.

An Automatic is another term for “self-winding”, meaning the watch winds itself using a rotator weight inside the timepiece which oscillates to apply tension on the mainspring of the movement through the random motion of the watch owner's arm.

This movement does not require a battery, but does require manual winding every few days using the crown to fully "charge the mainspring" and increase the timepiece's accuracy because it's running at full power.

You should send your watch in for routine service every year, or two years at the longest. Just like your precision firearms, which you routinely clean and oil, a mechanical timepiece requires this care as well.

Usage Guide

QUARTZ MOVEMENT INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Unscrew the Crown [counter clockwise].
2. To Set the Date:
Gently Pull the Crown into "First Position". Then turn the date forward slowly till you reach your desired date.
3. To Set the Time:
Gently Pull the Crown into "Second Position". Then turn the crown, advancing the hands forward, not backward, to your desired time.

AUTOMATIC MOVEMENT INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Unscrew the Crown [counter clockwise]
2. To Wind the Watch:
Gently turn the Crown clockwise [feel the tension of the mainspring] 40-50 complete turns.
(this movement can not be over-wound as it has an escapement).
3. To Set the Date:
Gently Pull the Crown into "First Position". Then turn the date forward slowly till you reach your desired date.
4. To Set the Time:
Gently Pull the Crown into "Second Position". Then turn the crown, advancing the hands forward, not backward, to your desired time.
(because the mechanical movement uses a series go metal discs and gears to move in precision balance to set and tell the time, it is advised to only set the time forward - not back)

RE-SECURE THE CROWN:
When you are finished setting the time and date and winding the movement, it is imperative that you re-secure the crown (the thing keeping the world out of your watch).

While applying inward pressure, gently turn the Crown clockwise, securing it on the threading until it is tightly closed. This ensures your watch is water-sealed.

It is NOT advised that you use your mechanical timepiece in the hot tub, sauna, shower, jacuzzi or other steam generating environments [read full article].

Do's & Don'ts

Do's:
Wind your watch gently daily.

Don'ts:
Do not use pliers to try to open your crown.
Do not use your watch as a hammer to hang a frame.
